On Sunday 16th June a number of Cheshire members attendedA Appleton Rifle Club to compete in the 2019 County Championship. The weather was 'interesting; especially at 100 Yards, and the final results were as Follows:
A Class - Aggregate winner Richard Fowke
With Neil Almond in second place and taking the Cheshire & North Wales County Championship
B Class - Aggregate winner Brendan Newport
With Mike Sinfield in second place
C Class Aggregate winners Carmen Kilgannon and Wayne Davies who tied on the same overall score
Ladies Aggregate winner Jane Newing
Juniors Aggregate winner Carmen Kilgannon
Veterans Aggregate winner Mike Sinfield
Club pairs Winners Jane Newing and Dave Froggat
Sadly not many people stayed for the presentation of prizes at the end of the shoot, however our Chairman (Carl Taylor) did a sterling job in presenting trophies to those who were still at the range at the end of the day!

We would like to extend our thanks to Appleton for the use of the range once again, and especially to Neil Gibbons for being our Chief Range Officer all day, and for scoring all the cards for us; and to Simon Green for his excellent Admin skills, and sorting out all the entries and taking money off the competitors 
I'd like to think that everyone who attended the shoot had a great time, and hopefully the picture above of our lovely shiny prizes will encourage more attendees for the 2020 Championship Shoot
